The Dark World

Payne is a fairly attractive girl
All dark and alone
Full of pain
She knows she belongs to another world
She knew ever since she started drinking her blood
Anti-social she is,
Someone ripped her heart out of her chest
Only to keep it, and cherish it
Then said person disappeared
Forever.
Pain took over Payne’s life.
Not only did she shed her blood,
She shed the blood of any schoolmate that dare called her a freak.
She’d take a nice, full bite of flesh
And watch the kid’s wide-eyed expression
And laugh a bloody laugh.
She doesn’t care about anyone’s opinion.
She was just mad that they’d speak it aloud.
In her opinion, everyone is stupid.
She wishes everyone around her dead.
But of course she doesn’t get her wish
She doesn’t try to kill anyone either
She lets the other world do that for her.
The world where people like her live
People that are sad and full of pain
They all live in the dark
In a shadow where those in the opposite world can’t see them
But they are watching the Light World
Whenever someone from the dark world is attacked
By someone in the Light World,
They bring the darkness over to the other side
To shed the blood of the attacker
Payne doesn’t speak about the darkness.
She sits in it every night
Getting rid of her pain with whatever sharp object she feels like using
One night, while she was sitting in the dark,
Thinking about said person,
The dark world attacked.
They told her to get it over with
They told her that it was time for her to leave this painful land.
Although she was hurt, she refused.
So the darkness did it.
The dark world did it.
They took the compass with the sharp point that she was using that night
And they stabbed it right through her throat.
She died that instant.
